He's one of the most popular video game characters of all time, and today is his day!
Today has been named “Mario Day” after the iconic Nintendo character.
The character first appeared in Donkey Kong in 1981. He then became the mascot for Nintendo.
The popular Super Mario Bros. series, featuring Mario and his brother Luigi became a staple-game in homes across the world in the 1980’s and the 1990’s.
