“Due to the national ground swell of demand for this film and the massive excitement the Star Wars brand always generates, Phoenix Theatres will continue its new tradition with our 2nd Annual 30-hour Star Wars marathon at all three locations, in Livonia, Monroe and Wayne,” said Phoenix Theatres President Cory Jacobson.

Phoenix Theatres ran all-night showings for "Force Awakens," the seventh Star Wars movie, released December 2015.

“Everyone really had a fantastic time last year with our 30 Hour all-night showings for Force Awakens and the excitement generated from the fans made last year’s opening the most exciting time I have personally had in the movie theatre business in decades," Jacobson said. "The fan-made robots, costumes and memorabilia displayed were a burst of creativity that made this film the best event we had all year.”

Jacobson added he knows of no other movie theatre in the Midwest region planning to show the film in multiple theatres continuously for over 30 hours all night long and into the morning hours of day two.

Phoenix Theatres offers 100 percent fully reclining seats at its 24 screens. It shows movies in Dolby 7.1 digital sound technology and Christie Digital projection.
