Together, these creative visionaries form a living tarot deck that honors renewal, light, and the quickening of seeds beneath winter’s surface.

As of just recently, the House of Tarot has been selected as a grantee of the Knight Art and Tech Expansion Fund. The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation are social investors who support democracy by funding free expression and journalism, arts and culture in community, research in areas of media and democracy, and the success of American cities and towns where the Knight brothers once published newspapers.

This two-day massive art exhibition will be on view January 31st and February 1st at the Detroit Design District’s historic Boyer Campbell Building.

Curated by Ashely Worden, Zoe Beaudry, and Marlo Broughton, the exhibition invites visitors to move through the space as if moving through a tarot spread—encountering tactile, atmospheric, and embodied works that explore the emotional, political, ancestral, and personal dimensions of the cards.

Rather than illustrating tarot literally, artists respond through their own mediums, perspectives, and lived experiences.
