It is a conglomeration of Far Eastern, Egyptian, Babylonian and Indian themes from various areas.In 1987, the Fox Theatre was purchased by Michael and Marian IlitchThe lobby is 87 feet long and six stories high and was built to resemble an ancient Hindu temple.The Fox Theatre's orchestra pit is on a hydraulic system which allows it to move up and down.
