The American Red Cross and Gardner White have teamed up again for a blood drive to help people in need of lifesaving blood.
The blood drive will happen from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025.
Donors of all types are needed, but especially those with type O blood and those giving platelets.
You can make an appointment by going to RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS, or using the Red Cross Blood Donor App and code gardnerwhite.
All presenting donors who come to give at a Gardner White store will receive a $50 coupon toward a purchase of $399 or more, while supplies last, and have a chance to win a $500 gift certificate. Also, donors who come to give during the month of August will get a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice.
Dr. Frank McGeorge talked to a local mom who lost double her body’s blood volume during a pregnancy complication, which had to be replaced through transfusions, to highlight the importance of donating blood. You can hear her story in the video at the top of this article.
