Yes, we've all been pronouncing IKEA wrong.
The Swedish furniture and house ware chain told the TODAY Show that Americans who pronounce it "Eye-Kee-Ah," are doing it all wrong.
The correct way to pronounce it is "ee-kay-uh."
IKEA is the world's largest furniture retailer, with more than 384 stores in 48 countries. The company is responsible for 1 percent of world commercial-product wood consumption, which is the largest in the retail sector.
There is only one IKEA in Michigan, located in Canton Township at 41640 Ford Road.
