Royal Oak teacher who pranked students gets surprise on 'Ellen Show'

DETROIT – Fourth grade teacher Joe Dombrowski played an April Fools' Day prank on his students that went viral. Can you spell "hilarious"?

The Royal Oak teacher went viral last month after giving his students at Oakland Elementary School a fake spelling test.

The teacher caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres, and was able to stop by the show on Friday.

Ellen gave Joe his own fake spelling test - he didn't do so well. Ellen also surprised him with a check for $10K from Shutterfly.
