Michigan has an abundance of wildlife. From deer, bears and moose to frogs, snakes and spiders.
Turtles also call Michigan home -- quite a few enjoy the muddy ponds and lakes the state offers.
The turtle population in Michigan has declined in recent years due to habitat destruction and pollution.
