Dossin Great Lakes Museum

Detroit has many little gems hidden all over the city. One of those places is the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle.

Outside the museum you'll find an anchor from the legendary Edmond Fitzgerald.

Inside the museum is the beautiful "Gothic Room" that came out of a steamer ship called The City Of Detroit III. 

If that doesn't draw your interest, there is an amazing Built By The River exhibit which focuses on the early days of Detroit's settlment along the river.

The Dossin Great Lakes Museum offers private tours and you can rent out an event hall.
