If you’re looking to make a furry addition to your family, one event this weekend is bringing more than 100 pets together in one place, and they all need a new home. It’s the inaugural “Meet Your Best Friend at the Shelter” event. Anna Chrisman with Michigan Humane joined “Live In The D” to share about what’s being planned.
“It’s happening at our Berman Center for Animal Care in Westland. We are anticipating 150 pets on site looking for their forever families,” said Chrisman. It’s pets from multiple rescue agencies around the area coming together to put the pets up for adoption.
The event is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and people are encouraged to arrive early. “The last event we had in the spring, we had 200 people in line before the gates even opened,” said Chrisman.
Chrisman also brought a pet into studio that needs a new home. The dog’s name is Fielder and he’s looking for an active family with older children. Despite his calm demeanor in studio, Chrisman said he is known to be “goofy”.
The Mike Morse Law Firm will pay the standard adoption fee for whoever adopts Fielder. And, if you think the Mike Morse Law Firm can help you with a case, you can learn more about the law firm here.
