Summer blockbuster season may be over, but there are still new movies hitting theaters. Movie reviewer Greg Russell stopped by “Live In The D” to talk about a new rom-com and a horror movie.
First up, the trilogy installment for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”. The movie reunites the Portokalos family on a trip to Greece where they plan to visit the home town of Toula’s father, who passed away. As expected, hilarity ensues and romance flies in a unique way. It’s not often you see a rom-com trilogy, so is the third time the charm? Russell said if you loved the other movies, you’ll love this one and he gave it four out of five reels.
Also out today, “The Nun II”. This is another movie in the “Conjuring” universe. The movie follows Sister Irene, from the original film, who investigates a violent murder of a priest and comes face-to-face with what is called the greatest evil. It’s the season for scares, and Greg says this one will make you jump. He gave the movie three out of five reels.
