The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is celebrating a huge milestone. In honor of their 60th anniversary, there will be several events taking place throughout the year starting with a community day kick-off event this weekend.
The History In The House event will feature a full day of activities and Yolanda Jack, the Manager of Community Engagement, stopped by “Live in the D” to chat about it. “We have a day planned, and we’re not going to end until the evening,” Jack said.
She said there will be food trucks, live entertainment, education opportunities, presentations, hustle lessons, and more.
The event is happening Saturday, 9a.m. till 5p.m., at the museum located at 315 E Warren Avenue in Detroit.
