Swing into Spring: Tee Off the Golf Season at Treetops Resort

Unleash your inner golfer amidst scenic beauty and legendary greens

As Northern Michigan’s Treetops Resort swings into gear with the new golf season, golfers can expect more than just a good game. According to Doug Hoeh, Director of Recreation at Treetops, “They can expect a heck of a good time up here.” Hoeh appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about the meticulously-maintained greens – and how the resort is primed to deliver an unforgettable experience.

Treetops has recently undergone significant renovations to enhance its world-renowned courses. “We started with the tradition three years ago, and we took all the trees out to give it a different feel and vibe out there,” said Hoeh. These improvements have not only enhanced playability but also unveiled stunning vistas over the Pigeon River Valley. “It’s opened up some vistas over the Pigeon River Valley that are absolutely stunning,” added Hoeh.

Home to America’s number one par-three course, Treetops attracts golfers eager to walk in the footsteps of legends like Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. The course’s claim to fame includes a memorable hole-in-one by Lee Trevino, once considered the richest shot in golf history. “It’s awesome to be able to walk in the same footsteps and play the same golf course that those folks were here and played,” said Hoeh.

Aside from golf, Treetops offers an array of family-friendly activities. With scenic hiking and biking trails and a luxurious spa, the resort caters to all interests. “Our vistas are second to none when it comes to Northern Michigan,” Hoeh noted, emphasizing the breathtaking views and recreational options available.
