Fitness expert gives the scoop on the ingredient that’s having a moment on social media

Cottage Cheese is having a major moment on social media. From pancakes to ice cream, this unassuming high-protein ingredient is showing up in a lot of unexpected places. If you’re wondering how to incorporate cottage cheese in your meals, Fitness and Nutrition Expert Jody Trierweiler is here to help.

“The more we can incorporate protein in our diet and lifestyle, the better,” Trierweiler said.

She said, a half cup of milk has 4 grams of protein, compared to a half cup of cottage cheese, which has 12-15 grams of protein. She said, you’re nearly tripling the amount of protein when you use cottage cheese over milk. She also said, there are plenty of dishes you can create using cottage cheese like bagels, banana bread, pancakes, and many other baked goods.
