Art, History, Cars and Pups Highlight Weekend Events

Something for everyone this weekend

ART ON THE GRAND: Take a stroll along Grand River Avenue and see more than 150 artists display their work. You’ll fine one-of-a-kind jewelry, ceramics, sculptures and more. The event takes place June 7-8 in downtown Farmington.

WAYNE COUNTY HISTORY PROJECT: A new exhibition features the history of Wayne County. The collection debuts inside the historic Guardian Building on Griswold in Downtown Detroit. The free event takes place Saturday June 7th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

CARS AND COFFEE: The M1 Concourse hosts “Cars and Coffee” this Saturday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. in Pontiac. The event features rare, unique – and high performing cars from around the world.

PAWCHELLA 2025: This event takes place June 7-8 at the MaryAnn Wright Animal Adoption Center in Dearborn. The gathering celebrates the bond between humans and animals. There will be live music, doggie vendors, food trucks and plenty of other fun for dogs and people.

ALVIN WADDLES: The legendary Detroit pianist, singer and composer brings his signature style live in concert. It’s Friday, June 6th at 6 p.m. inside Hope United Methodist Church in Southfield.
