Metro Detroit dance group is bringing the funk to the national stage

The Funkateers are competing on “AGT”

A Metro Detroit dance group known as The Funkateers has stepped into the nation spotlight on “America’s Got Talent”.

The Funkateer Dancers wowed the audience and the judges when they showed off their moves on Tuesday night’s episode of the dance competition on NBC. “AGT” host and Michigan native Terry Crews even gave the group a golden buzzer, sending them straight to the quarterfinals of the competition.

The Inkster-based dance group first came together in 1989 to win their high school talent show. Fast forward to today, they are winning fans on “AGT”.
