1. Michigan Air Show
Get ready to feel the thunder. The Thunder Over Michigan Air Show will be flying high over Willow Run Airport. The show will feature several aircraft performing amazing tricks through the sky. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be the headlining act.
The show is happening this Friday through Sunday in Ypsilanti.
2. Novi Fine Art Fair
The Novi Fine Art Fair is also happening this weekend. Over 60 juried fine artists from across the country will feature one-of-a-kind handmade pieces. The fair kicks off tomorrow and runs through Sunday at Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk in Novi.
3. Sunset at the Zoo
You may have visited the tigers or penguins at the Detroit Zoo in the past, but adults have a chance to kick off the summer season exploring the zoo in a setting you don’t get to see very often. Sunset at the Zoo: An Evening Under the Canopy offers visitors a chance to experience the zoo at night while sipping on cocktails.
The 21 an up event is happening tomorrow from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. You can get your tickets on the Detroit Zoo’s website.
4. Summer Solstice at Farmington Hills Nature Center in Heritage Park
Celebrate the start of summer in a cool way. The City of Farmington Hills will host the Summer Solstice celebration. The event features games, crafts, hayrides, a campfire, and much more.
It’s happening Saturday evening, 6:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m., at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills.
5. 2025 Canterbury Taco Fest
Last but certainly not least, the 6th annual Michigan Taco Fest returns to Canterbury Village. The ultimate taco lover will get to indulge and pick from several food trucks offering various Mexican dishes. Canned donations will be collected, and a portion of ticket sales will benefit the Bottomless Toy Chest.
The fest happens this Friday through Sunday in Lake Orion.
