The Toledo Zoo offers ziplines, an aerial course, and over 16,000 animals – What do zip lines, baby animals, and a whole lot of lizards have in common? They’re all part of the fun at the Toledo Zoo. The zoo, which is about an hour from Downtown Detroit, is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. From new exhibits like Ziems Conservatory where you’ll find cool lizards, to up-close animal encounters, the Toledo Zoo offers something for everyone, and in 2025, to anniversary party will go on the entire year.
“For the summer, we’ll have our animal feeding demonstrations, we have our Live Nation concerts going on with acts like Earth, Wind, and Fire,” Jen Brassil, Director of PR and Communications Events for the Toledo Zoo, said.
There will also be a big “Christmas in July” celebration where lights will dazzle throughout a section of the Zoo.
From feeding giraffes, goats, alpacas and more, the zoo offers many ways guests can interact with the animals.
