Taco Fest Turns Up the Heat in Royal Oak

Tantalizing Tacos, Tequila, and Tunes Await Festival-Goers

This weekend, Royal Oak is set to sizzle with the much-anticipated Taco Fest, promising a fiesta of flavors and sounds. The festival is a celebration of all things taco, tequila, and tunes, with an exciting lineup of activities and performances.

“Taco Fest is all about fun and flavors,” said festival organizer Jon Witz, during an appearance on “Live In The D.”  “We’ve added mechanical bull riding and Lucha Libre wrestling to spice things up, alongside 50 taco trucks and 19 tequila sampling opportunities.” The festival isn’t just about food and drink. Music plays a pivotal role, with 400 bands vying for a spot, but only 50 making the cut to perform.

Among the bands selected is Paradise Beach Revelation, led by the charismatic Matt Calendine. “We’re a reggae rock band with influences like Bob Marley and Sublime,” said Calendine. “Our music is chill yet energetic, perfect for a summer festival vibe.”

With a diverse range of sounds from Latin themes to yacht rock, and performances from strolling mariachi bands, Royal Oak’s Taco Fest promises a memorable experience for all ages.  The festival takes place July 3rd through July 6th.  For more details and to watch a performance by Paradise Beach Revelation, click the video.
