Detroit Amps prepare for home debut at Little Caesars Arena with new apparel launch

Detroit’s new pro 3-on-3 basketball team

Sports fans are gearing up for some action at Little Caesars Arena, but it won’t be the Pistons taking the court this time. Instead, the Detroit Amplifiers, the city’s new pro 3-on-3 basketball team, will be showing off its hoop skills.

Anthony Tomey, one of the team’s owners and the man behind the “Born in Detroit” brand, joined “Live in the D” along with two models to talk more about what fans can expect and showcase their brand.

“Ice Cube is the owner and creator of the league and will be in attendance. It’s really great for the kids, fans, and family to go to,” Tomey announced.

He explained the BIG3 league, highlighting how it differs from the NBA with its fast paced, 3-on-3 format that brings a unique energy to the game.

Fans will find a variety of apparel options to choose from. Tomey also announced a special deal.

“If you buy thirty dollars’ worth of Amps merch, you get two free tickets to the game on July 20th,” Tomey said.

Tomey reflected on why connecting the “Born in Detroit” brand to the Amps was so important, emphasizing the pride and passion behind both.

Tickets to see the Detroit amps play are available now, and fans can also score the new Amps merchandise on their website or visit their storefront.
