If you’re ready to sit back and relax while getting lost in the page of a good book, a festival in Detroit could help you find your next read.
The Detroit Festival of Books will be in action at Eastern Market on Sunday, July 20th.
There will be more than 250 vendors selling everything from new and used books to comic books, vinyl records, and more, said Detroit Festival of Books founder Ryan Place.
In addition to promoting literacy, the festival also brings more attention to Eastern Market, explained Lonni Thomas, the director of markets at Eastern market.
“It’s a vibrant hub with or without Bookfest, but I do feel like we just help enhance that sense of discovery and we help inspire creativity and exploration there,” Place said.
Detroit Festival of Books will be held at Eastern Market on Sunday, July 20th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
