Laughs Galore: Matt Friend Brings Comedic Antics to Detroit

Comedian leaves “Live In The D” hosts in stitches during show appearance

Known for his uncanny celebrity impressions, comedian Matt Friend left “Live In The D” hosts Tati Amare and Kim DeGiulio in tears of laughter during his live Zoom appearance. Friend, who has mastered impressions of everyone from Jeff Goldblum to Donald Trump, has promised a night of laughter at The Comedy Bar in Detroit tonight.

“I’m thrilled to be on ‘Live in the D.’ Honestly, you guys are two beautiful women. I have to say you look fantastic,” Friend quipped, channeling his inner Trump. His quick wit and spot-on impersonations had the hosts laughing uncontrollably.

Friend, who began his impersonation journey at just four years old with characters from Austin Powers, shared his hopes for tonight’s performance. “I remember that feeling when you were in a classroom, when you weren’t supposed to be laughing and it was uncontrollable? That’s the feeling that I hope you have at my show tonight,” he said.

“It’s going to be a fantastic show. We’re all going to be having a great time,” Friend assured fans.
