It’s a Disney classic with songs that have become household favorites like “Hakuna Matata,” “Circle of Life,” and “Can you Feel the Love Tonight,” and now the Detroit Symphony Orchestra is bringing the music of “The Lion King” to life on the stage.
The music will be sounding this Sunday, July 27th at Orchestra Hall in Detroit, and your family has a chance to experience the magic.
The DSO is set to perform songs from “The Lion King” while the animated movie plays on-screen inside Orchestra Hall.
Before the DSO takes the stage, there will be a special pre-concert event outside of the venue where people can learn about the real-life animals behind the lion king characters and more. African drumming and storytelling experiences are also being offered.
The pre-concert event will be held from noon until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 27th at 3 p.m. at the DSO’s Sosnick Courtyard. The Lion King in Concert will be performed inside the venue at 3 p.m.
