A summertime tradition that’s been around more than 40 years in Macomb County is back in action with Sterlingfest Art and Music Fair kicking off on Thursday.
The festival blends art, music, food, and family-friendly entertainment into one event that fills Dodge Park in Sterling Heights.
“Sterlingfest is definitely a tradition for our residents as well as so many people who come back to Sterling Heights to enjoy,” said Marissa Russo, the marketing and communications manager for the City of Sterling Heights. She said it’s considered a holiday around the area.
The festival features fun for all ages, including a carnival with classic rides, games and thrilling attractions.
Another highlight of Sterlingfest is the art fair that showcases and celebrates creativity. The art fair section of the event features dozens of vendors showcasing everything from jewelry to sculptures, painting, and beyond.
Food is a huge part of any festival, and there’s plenty to share at Sterlingfest. Visitors can stop by Restaurant Row and Food Truck Trail to enjoy options from burgers to summer sweets from various restaurants, food trucks, and food vendors participating in the festival. Jet’s Pizza, which actually started in Sterling Heights, is among the businesses feeding festival goers.
Musical acts will be performing on multiple stages during Sterlingfest. One of the acts on the main stage will be George Michael Reborn. Tribute artist Robert Bartko will be singing some fan favorites Thursday at 8 p.m.
Sterlingfest runs Thursday, July 24th through Saturday, July 26th.
