William Hill III is a musical artist that shares his jazzy sounds by blending technical skill and emotional depth on the piano, and now he’s bringing his music to one of Detroit’s most iconic jazz clubs.
William Hill III is set to perform at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit on Wednesday, August 6.
Hill shared that his music has been influenced by the sounds of Motown, jazz, funk, R&B, and gospel. Some of his biggest influences include Oscar Peterson, Stevie Wonder, and Thelonious Monk.
Hill said he plays how he feels, and “if it sounds good, it feels good.”
When he performs at Cliff Bell’s, Hill said the audience can expect to hear a lot of his own compositions that will be released next month on his new album, along with jazz standards and arrangements.
