Visiting farmers markets can be a fun family outing on the weekend, but Ann Arbor offers an option that can provide farm-fresh produce for your table every day of the week.
Argus Farm Stop offers a twist on your traditional farmers market by selling local produce seven days a week, all year-round.
“We take the best of the farmers market combining it with the best of the grocery store,” said Alex Blume with Argus Farm Stop.
Blume explained that Argus Farm Stop is stocked exclusively with local products, and farmers get 70 percent of the price that they choose for their products, while Blume said that they generally get around 15 cents on the dollar at most grocery stores.
Produce at Argus Farm Stop includes sweet corn from Prochaska Farms, which is a third-generation farm in Tecumseh, explained Meg Goldwyn with Argus Farm Stop.
Shoppers will also find flowers from Jacob’s Fresh Farm in Dexter, squash from Carpenter Farm in Allen, and more.
If you’d like some help picking your produce, Argus Farm Stop offers a Weekly Produce Box that features six to nine seasonal, local products each week.
