Meet the Ace of Trades Award winner for July

A tile and marble tradesman who has been in the field for 45 years is the July recipient of the “Ace of Trades” award from Local 4 and Carhartt.

Ted Stephenson started his journey in his trade in 1980 through a program offered in the Detroit area, and now he is the sole proprietor of Stephenson Tile and Marble Contractor.

“Every job is a new experience and it’s very rewarding,” Stephenson said.

Ted was nominated for the award by his wife, Nancy Stephenson. Watch the video above to hear Nancy read her nomination letter.

Local 4 and Carhartt are recognizing an Ace of Trades recipient each month as a part of the Trade Up initiative which shines a light on tradespeople and the work their doing in our community.
