“The Rainmaker” Brings Courtroom Drama, Complex Characters, and High-Stakes Rivalries to TV

A story of law, loyalty, and moral dilemmas

Get ready for high-stakes legal battles and jaw-dropping twists. The Rainmaker is bringing John Grisham’s bestseller to life on TV. Rookie lawyer Rudy Baylor, played by Milo Callaghan, is diving headfirst into the legal world, guided by his fierce and compassionate boss, Jocelyn “Bruiser” Stone, portrayed by Lana Parrilla.

Callaghan opened up about his character on Live In The D: “He’s really a kid, a young man trying to find his way in the world, and the complexity of that was enticing to me because it felt very human.” Speaking about her character, Parrilla said, “Bruiser brings a lot of heart, maternal instincts, and nurturing to Rudy Baylor that I don’t think we ever saw in the novel or the film.”

The series isn’t just about courtroom showdowns - it’s about people, power, and the choices that shape them. For binge-watchers, episodes will be available to stream on Peacock one week after airing, giving fans plenty of reason to stay hooked.
