Sunflower Spectacle Shines in Belleville

Metro Detroit’s Largest Sunflower Festival Offers Blooms and Fun Galore

A vibrant sea of over two million sunflowers awaits visitors at DeBuck’s Family Farm, the host of Metro Detroit’s largest Sunflower Festival. Eric DeBuck, one of the farm’s owners, appeared on “Live In The D” to share what makes this event a must-see summer attraction.

“We started growing flowers in 2019, and it’s just grown from there,” DeBuck said. “We see people come out here, enjoy themselves, smiles on their faces, and enjoying the nature. And we just been growing and growing, and we come up with crazy ideas, and we make it happen.”

The festival offers more than just breathtaking views. Visitors can enjoy wagon rides, giant slides, and a variety of interactive attractions, including the popular corn box. Attendees are also encouraged to pick their own flowers and take-home bouquets as a tangible memory of their visit.

“My favorite part is watching the smiles on all the faces,” DeBuck said. “That’s my favorite part. And enjoying seeing the beautiful field that we have grown here for everyone to enjoy. We take a lot of pride in our field, and as a farmer, it’s gratifying to see the beauty that we’ve created for everyone.”

With new photo opportunities and flower varieties introduced this year, the festival continues to evolve, ensuring there’s always something fresh for repeat visitors. Whether you’re there for the ‘gram or the natural beauty, this sunflower spectacle promises an unforgettable experience.

The Sunflower Festival at DeBuck’s Family Farm runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through August 24th.
