You can experience “A Magical Night in the Garden” this weekend while supporting a nonprofit organization that focuses on creating a healthier urban community and more green spaces for families to visit.
“A Magical Night in the Garden” is the theme of this year’s Sip and Taste fundraiser for the Greening of Detroit.
“We’ve been around now over 35 years planting trees throughout the city of Detroit, providing environmental education and workforce development training programs for both youth and adults, even growing our own trees,” explained Monica Tabares, the vice president of the Greening of Detroit.
Eight restaurants will be participating in the Sip and Taste event. Guests can also expect cocktails, live music, and a silent auction.
The Greening of Detroit’s Sip and Taste event will be held Friday, August 22nd from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Lafayette Greens Garden in Detroit.
