PACE Academy in Southfield is a launching a new pre-kindergarten program to give kids a strong start and set them up for success from day one.
“Currently we are a free public charter school academy for kindergarten through eighth grade. We do offer a ton of programming right now, before and after school care, before and after school tutoring for all students, transportation, after-school activities, sports. The only thing we were missing was the opportunity to serve our young learners, so we are so excited to launch PACE Academy Early Learning Center, where we can offer free preschool to our community,” said Valentina Pettway, the principal of PACE Academy.
PACE Academy has a full-time counselor, social worker, and full-time nurse, along with a special education program, a student support team, a behavior intervention team, and a parent and family liaison, Pettway explained.
“We just believe in meeting students wherever they are to help them be successful,” Pettway said.
PACE Academy is hosting an orientation and open house on Thursday, August 28th from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. that same day.
