Detroit artist performs ahead of Jazz Fest this weekend

In Detroit we are known for our love for music, and one of the biggest celebrations of talent is the Detroit Jazz Fest. This Labor Day weekend the city will come alive with smooth sounds, legendary musicians and incredible performances. “Live in the D,” gave a sneak peek at what people can expect at the Fest, with a performance from the Allen Dennard Quartet.

“One thing that makes it so special, this is the biggest festival that’s still free in the world,” Dennard said, adding that it’s a beautiful time for people to come together.

The Detroit Jazz Fest takes place August 29 through September 1, at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit.
