As apple season ripens, Rochester gears up for its annual Art & Apples Festival from September 5-7, promising a feast for the senses with nearly 300 artists and live music acts. This celebration of art is now in its 59th year.
Shaun Hayes, Executive Director at Paint Creek Center for the Arts, shared on “Live In The D,” “Rochester is definitely a community that loves art. This is one of the top selling art festivals in the nation for artists.”
A highlight of this year’s festival is metalsmith Lenny Sadro, who crafts whimsical creations from repurposed materials. “It’s extremely humbling because I’m just having fun,” said Sadro. “I like taking things that were never meant to be together.”
With free entry and a $5 recommended donation supporting the Paint Creek Center for the Arts, the festival is set to be more than just a display of creativity - it’s a celebration of community spirit.
