Bloomfield Hills Teen’s Twirling Talents Shine on World Stage

Baton twirler wins big in Italy

One thing that many sports fans look forward to while attending football games, is the half-time performance. High School Marching Bands can get the crowd rocking! “Live In The D” reporter April Morton caught up with a band member from Bloomfield Hills High School, whose talents are being recognized on the world stage.

“I came back with 3 gold metals out of my 4 events,” said Jax Scott, a Junior at Bloomfield Hills High School. Scott twirls the baton for the school’s marching band and competed over the summer in the 2025 Nations Cup Baton Twirling competition in Turin, Italy. More than 2,200 athletes from 22 countries competed. Jax and other athletes represented the United States.
