From Harvest fest to stage play, lots to do this weekend

Here’s a list of fun happenings in and around Detroit

As we head into the last official weekend of summer, you may be looking for something to do, especially with the warm weather sticking around. Here’s a list of a few fun happenings taking place in and around Detroit.

-Eastern Market After Dark- Live music, artwork, food, and retail vendors will be spread across the market’s sheds. Happening Thursday, 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Detroit.

-Funky Ferndale Art Show- Guests will enjoy the vibes of a cool outdoor, open-air gallery with more than 100 artists from across the region. There will also be kids activities. Happening Friday through Sunday in Downtown Ferndale.

-Harvest Fest at Palmer Park- The event will feature music, petting zoo, pony rides, corn roast, donuts and cider, hayrides, freshly picked apples, and more. Happening Saturday 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Detroit.

-Sweeney Todd Stage Play- Spotlight Players Presents a production of Sweeney Todd, A Darkly Delicious Theatrical experience. The show runs Friday through Sunday at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill, Canton.
