Do you stay calm, cool, and collected behind the wheel, or are you guilty of road rage?
According to AAA, 96 percent of drivers admitted to driving aggressively last year.
Road rage was the topic of discussion during the What’s The Buzz segment on “Live In The D” Monday. Host Tati Amare and guest host Brian Vines were joined by Mary Liz Curtin who is the owner of Leon and Lulu and Three Cats Cafe in Clawson, and Orlando Bailey, the executive director of Outlier Media and host of the Authentically Detroit podcast.
The group talked about what leads to road rage, including whether they believe it’s contagious.
Orlando shared that the source of his road rage is when he’s running late.
“I think we need to do a better job of regulating ourselves on the road,” Orlando said.
Meanwhile, Mary Liz said that she thinks a big part of the problem is that people are thinking that everything is about them.
“The fact that you just caught me off might be because your head is someplace else and you didn’t really do it on purpose. Let’s all cool our jets,” she said.
Brian shared that his commute is a different experience because he rides a bike.
