You can head to the west side of Michigan to enjoy a fall getaway

From getting a close-up look at gardens filled with colorful mums to walking by massive sculptures, a unique destination in Grand Rapids is filled with family adventures.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is home to “158 acres of world-class gardens” and “a sculpture collection that’s truly an art history book come to life,” said Director of Communications John VanderHaagen.

“We have Michigan’s largest display of chrysanthemums happening all October long,“ VanderHaagen explained.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor opportunities, such as experiencing the children’s garden, or you can head inside to venture through the carnivorous plant house and beyond.
