NORTHVILLE, Mich. – October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, a time to raise awareness and encourage anyone struggling with anxiety or depression to reach out for help.
One local wellness center is combining beauty and mental health care, offering patients a truly whole-body approach to feeling their best. “Northville Beauty Spa is a health and wellness center, and so we focus on making patients feel and look their best, “said Dr. James Bazzi, Medical Director at Northville Beauty. He said they offer different things, such as laser treatments, injectables such as Botox, and filler facials. They also focus on making patients feel their best. By that, he said they have different devices that can help make this happen, including a breakthrough brain stimulation treatment that’s changing lives.” This is a therapy where patients can get treatment for things like depression, anxiety, OCD, or binge eating disorder,” said Dr. Bazzi. He said that with the treatment, a device called “Exomind” is placed on the frontal part of the patient’s head, and it’s a comfortable, non-invasive procedure that lasts for about 24 minutes. He said it also helps with mental fog, something a lot of busy parents may experience.
Dr. Bazzi says Brain Stimulation Therapy is just one of many treatments they offer. They also have a treatment using a device called “Emusculpt Neo” that helps patients build muscle and burn fat.
Another device they use is “Emface Life.” This is put on the face to allow more contouring,” Dr. Bazzi said. It tightens the skin.
Lastly, they use a device called “Emsella.” “As we age, our pelvic floor muscles get weak, and many females may experience leakage. This is equivalent to doing about 11,000 Kegel exercises with one sitting.” He said.
The center is holding a launch event where people can get more information about the services they provide. It’s happening on October 23, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 42000 6 Mile Road, Northville, MI.
