The Roof Resource is singing the praises of its virtual-first model – saying it can save homeowners time, stress and thousands of dollars, founder and CEO Mike Harvey said in an appearance on “Live in the D.”
“Within 24 hours, a homeowner can get a quote from us, and we can have that roof installed in seven to 10 days, typically up to 50% less than retail,” Harvey said. “It’s a frictionless experience.”
Harvey said the idea took shape during the pandemic, when he saw an opening to modernize what he called an “older, archaic” sales model with technology. “I can do it differently and I can do it virtually,” he said. “I use a lot of tech to create this kind of experience for homeowners.”
The company highlighted a recent Detroit customer, teacher Celestine Walker, who first saw the firm on “Live in the D.” Harvey said the team handled the entire project remotely and “saved her so much money.” In another case, he said a Franklin, Michigan homeowner received a traditional quote for $103,000, “and we did it for 35 (thousand).”
