Get your sweet tooth ready, because a local Detroit area baker known online as “The Pastry Guru,” is competing on a brand-new show on the Food Network. “Sweet Empire: Winter Wars,” premieres this weekend. Jonathan Elias stopped by “Live in the D,” to give the scoop on the competition, which he said, doesn’t start contestants out in teams. “Yeah, solo, and the whole idea is that you show off your skill set and you want to join that empire that’s really gonna make you win, so you’re trying to build this empire to get you to victory,” Elias said.
He showed off some of his baking skills, and taught host Kim Degiulio how to create a cute, Thanksgiving themed treat.
The season premiere of “Sweet Empire: Winter Wars,” airs Sunday, November 9th at 9 p.m. on the Food Network.
