With Medicare’s annual enrollment period underway through Dec. 7, Zing Health is urging seniors and caregivers to recheck coverage details before making 2025 selections.
“Because the annual enrollment period is a limited time, I would advise that you look over your benefits because the benefits change every year,” said Selvie, vice president of internal sales and strategic community engagement at Zing Health, during an appearance on “Live in the D.” She advised comparing costs, confirming doctors and specialists remain in network, and reviewing a plan’s formulary to ensure prescriptions are covered.
Selvie outlined the difference between Original Medicare - hospital (Part A) and medical (Part B) coverage - and Medicare Advantage plans, which often bundle Parts A and B and may include extras such as vision, dental, hearing and prescription drug coverage.
Selvie said her company designs plans for people managing complex conditions. “Zing Health was founded by doctors, and our plans are more targeted and focused toward individuals with chronic conditions like diabetes, congestive heart failure, cardiovascular disease and people on dialysis,” she said, noting added benefits such as unlimited transportation for dialysis and grocery supports for those who qualify.
The Medicare annual enrollment period runs through Dec. 7.
