When you deck the halls for the holidays, don’t forget about flowers. Floral arrangements can be a show stopper for holiday decor.
Arthur White of A&E Decor appeared on “Live In The D” to share some festive, floral ideas.
One way to impress your guests is to hollow out pumpkins to fill with flowers to create a unique arrangement.
White talked about the three basic elements to incorporate into an arrangement, which are the thriller, the filler, and the spiller. He explained that the thriller is something dramatic and colorful. The filler helps to fill in the arrangement, while the spiller anchors the arrangement and creates a sense of movement.
You’ll want to be mindful of the height of center pieces for dining tables, so that people can see each other across the table.
Meanwhile, you can add some height when it comes to a buffet table, White explained.
However, you don’t have to go big to make a statement. White also talked about how you can incorporate mini arrangements into your holiday decor.
Another way to switch things up is to showcase dried flowers, such as dried hydrangeas.
