The Ypsi Artisans Holiday Market will fill the city’s historic Freighthouse with handcrafted goods, local food and community spirit on Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 20-21.
Now in its fifth year, the market launched in 2020 and has grown into a seasonal showcase for about 48 vendors offering everything from soaps and paintings to high-end jewelry and 3D-printed gifts. Organizers say the event emphasizes inclusivity by welcoming a wide range of makers and price points and by supporting local nonprofits, including youth groups and refugee craft initiatives.
“While here, when you support us, you support the community,” said Angela Scott, founder of the Ypsi Artisans Market.
Visitors are encouraged to make a day of it in downtown Ypsilanti, where the market’s foot traffic often spills into nearby restaurants and shops.
The Ypsi Artisans Holiday Market takes place at the historic Freighthouse, 100 Market Place, Ypsilanti.
