SIAS brought a hybrid of lush vocals, organic textures and electronic flair to Live in the D’s Music Monday segment, performing “Your World” and spotlighting an instrument they call the “keylele.”
“Our sound is a mix between acoustic and organic elements with electronic instrumentation — we produce everything ourselves from scratch,” said Josias Yglesias.
The duo — newlyweds on and off stage — said their art-forward life together inspires the music, with “Your World” emerging from days spent making music and painting. They also unveiled a compact, motion-friendly controller built from components by Roli and Korg that lets them shape effects in real time.
“It’s like a Frankenstein of an instrument that we put together,” said Haley Grant. “I wanted more movement in my performance, and this has everything I want.”
SIAS also teased new music, noting that their collaboration “Sugar Rush” is coming soon. To watch the segment, click on the video above.
