Verizon joined Live in the D’s Days of Giving to showcase AI-forward holiday gift ideas — and help viewers win. The segment highlighted phones, wearables and accessories, plus details on the show’s daily $500 gift card giveaway.
“Fifty percent of people are using AI pretty much on a regular basis at this point, [and] 99% of people are being touched by AI in some way, shape, or form,” Verizon tech expert Jeff Key said during the segment.
Key spotlighted the Samsung Galaxy S25, noting its speed and Gemini AI features, including Instant Translate for real-time bilingual conversations and a “circle to search” tool that identifies items from photos. “You can take a picture of whatever you’re looking at … and it’s going to search for it online,” he said.
Flip phones made a stylish return with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 for compact convenience, while the revived Motorola Razr drew praise for being “always photo ready” with a wrist-flip selfie shortcut.
For hands-free navigation and content capture, Key pointed to Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses, which pair with Meta AI to take photos and deliver turn-by-turn directions via audio. Budget-friendly picks included the Fitbit Charge 6 — with battery life of six to seven days on a single charge — and the MOFT tripod stand, a low-cost, wallet-attached phone accessory that doubles as a portable tripod.
