Vinology has been a go-to spot for date nights, celebrations, and wine, and the Ann Arbor restaurant and wine bar will mark its 20th anniversary in 2026.
Kristin Jonna, the owner of Vinology, appeared on “Live In The D” to share the journey and how this milestone will be celebrated.
“I really wanted to create something that wasn’t just a restaurant. There was a lot of restaurants with good wine lists, but there wasn’t really a wine bar,” Jonna explained. “When you’re in the wine country, you’re tasting every day with people, and I wanted to bring that experience,” she added.
Over the years, Vinology has evolved into an event space. The atmosphere is complete with a bubble room, which is the owner’s tribute to champagne.
“There’s bubbles all through the ceiling and it became a wedding venue,” Jonna said.
To celebrate two decades in business, Vinology will be holding throwback dinners that will revisit original menus.
Vinology also holds blind wine tasting events where the wine bottles are covered so you don’t know what you’re drinking.
