Many of us spent the holidays cozying up and catching up on movies, and now as we settle back into our routines, we may be looking for something new to watch.
Director Marvin Towns, Jr. has been in the movie industry since the early 80’s, and he stopped by “Live in the D,” to chat about two recent projects - and his longevity in the business.
“People look at my resume on IMDb and they see that the first film that I worked on was The Blues Brothers. That’s 1980, but I was 21 years old,” he said.
He’s worked on 67 films and television series over the years and most recently has two films he directed - “Son of the Preacher,” and “Holy Hustle.”
“It’s the story of - we call her a sexy fans creator - it’s a takeoff of OnlyFans, who has a history with the church and a not-so-good history with the church.” he said, describing the film “Holy Hustle.”
Both films are currently streaming on BET+.
