Create a vision board while supporting a special cause

Event will support Remembering Cherubs

Vision boards are a popular way to set intentions and goals for the new year, and there is a unique spin on the concept that will benefit a good cause.

An upcoming vision board brunch and paint experience will offer a space to create, heal, and support parents in the pregnancy and infant loss community. The event will benefit Remembering Cherubs, an organization that was started by Monica Sholar Anderson after she experienced two pregnancy losses herself.

To bring the vision board event to fruition, Sholar Anderson is teaming up with her best friend, SuVon Treece. She’s a visual artist who is also the co-founder of Champaint, which holds painting events.

“We’re going to have the painting as the backdrop and then on top of there you can put all your vision board elements that represent all of your goals for 2026,” Treece explained.

“Ticket sales will support Remembering Cherubs, specifically our monthly group support meetings and our peer support service. So it really is going toward making sure that parents have someone to talk to and somewhere to go after their loss,” Sholar Anderson said.

The vision board event will take place at the Avalon Healing Center in Detroit on Saturday, January 10th at 11 a.m.
