Serving as the Director of Theaters and Resident Astronomer for the Michigan Science Center, Paulette Epstein joined Live in the D to share the excitement the science museum has to offer.
The Michigan Science Center earned a spot in USA Today’s top 20 science museums in the United States, with the chance to be in first place.
“The Michigan Science Center has been a part of this list for the past couple of years, and we’ve been hovering around the number three spot,” explained Epstein. “We really try to teach people about science and all the things they can do with hands-on activities, a planetarium, and a 4D theater. It’s a really important thing to have here in Detroit, and to be named to the top would only help us immensely.”
Epstein showcased to hosts Tati and Kim one of the hands-on activities you can do, not only at the science center, but from your own home, where you may need an activity to do with the snow taking over the roads outside.
“When you come to the science center, come with a curious mind and a playful attitude,” suggested Epstein.
