Love is in the air at this candle making experience

Wicksup Candle Co. partners with Dearborn Inn to bring a candle-making experience for Valentine’s Day

The scent of love and romance is filling the air at the Dearborn Inn, as a hands-on experience for making your own candles this Valentine’s Day has been introduced.

Director of Marketing for the Dearborn Inn, Troy Shoemaker, is partnering with the owner of Wicksup Candle Co., Aisha Sanders, to bring this candle-making experience to life for partners and friends.

“This Valentine’s Day is all about connection and creativity,” said Shoemaker. “We’ve set the setting as a cozy and romantic area for guests to come in. They get to create their own custom candle, enjoy the atmosphere, and just have a fun and meaningful experience.”

For just $65, you can experience the love-filled event that includes a guided candle-making journey, 20+ fragrance options to blend your perfect scent, custom scent creations, and a sparkling glass of champagne or a bubbly non-alcoholic alternative.

Beginning in 2022, the Wicksup Candle company began its journey to help people with anxiety and as a creative outlet during the pandemic.

Separating themselves from other candles, they are non-toxic and contain no unnecessary chemicals that typically cause headaches.

“We do non-profit organizations, school events, team building activities, and you can come in with a group of two people, up to 20 people, so it’s a great experience for everyone to enjoy,” Sanders said.

The event will be on Saturday, February 7, from 1pm to 3pm. You can find more information at www.eventbrite.com by typing in “Dearborn Inn”.
